Night of Rising Music Stars
Dayna Malow & Friends
and Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real

Dayna Malow is a Chicago born, Country Music, Singer/Songwriter awarded the 2008 Chicago Music Award for "Best Country Artist", and again nominated in 2009, 2010, and 2011. She has self-released three critically acclaimed albums, and appeared with Country Music's biggest stars at many of the Midwest region's largest & most prestigious festivals & venues. She has co-written songs with writers such as Emilio Estefan, Bruce Bouton, & Doug Sisemore, long time music director for Country Superstar, Reba McEntire. Currently Malow can be seen performing under her own name, as lead female vocalist with the award winning band, Maggie Speaks, or as a proud member of the Chicago based USO band, providing entertainment at special events & military installations. Dayna also performed as the lead female vocalist at the Weill Center's 2011 Gala After-Party.

To say Lukas Nelson was born to play music is an understatement. The sixth child of one of the most acclaimed and beloved music stars of all time, Willie Nelson, Lukas knew early on that he was destined to perform on stage. Besides inheriting his father's musicality, he also inherited his father's humility and genuineness. Fronting the southern-folk-rock group, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Lukas is determined to keep it exactly that – real! The band has jammed onstage with Neil Young, B.B. King, Bob Dylan….and, of course, dad. Their full length debut CD, Promise of the Real, was released December 21, 2010.

You're in for a treat as you witness two rising stars and their bands on our stage in this first time double billing!

Mermaid Theatre: Good Night Moon
and The Runaway Bunny

Perhaps the perfect children's bedtime book, Goodnight Moon is a short poem of goodnight wishes from a young rabbit preparing for, or attempting to postpone, his own slumber. He says goodnight to every object in sight and within earshot, including the "quiet old lady whispering hush." The Runaway Bunny begins with a young bunny who decides to run away. And so begins a delightful, imaginary game of chase. No matter how many forms the little bunny takes – a fish in a stream, a crocus in a hidden garden, a rock on a mountain – his steadfast, adoring, protective mother finds a way of retrieving him.

Both tales feature endearing rabbit characters, and the soothing rhythms of bunny banter and dream-like imagery. Mermaid's staged adaptations will bring a new sense of appreciation to stories that have delighted several generations.

Mad Science: CSI LIVE!

The world's number one television franchise is about to hit the stage! Mad Science presents CSI: LIVE!, an exciting, interactive journey through the fascinating world of crime scene investigations. When a crime is committed at the Las Vegas premiere of the Max Spade Magic Show, the CSI team springs into action. Sydney Mathis and David Hart play the roles of CSI investigators and are on the case, assisted by supervisor Gil Grissom through a live video connection from the Las Vegas Crime Lab. Audience members will jump up on stage and become part of the action; becoming witnesses, suspects and CSI recruits. Together they will use their superior logic and forensic know-how to uncover hidden details, investigate the evidence and test their theories. It's CSI: LIVE! – join the adventure! (appropriate for ages 8 and older)

The Crist Family

The Crist Family is one of the fastest growing singing family groups in gospel music today. The group began as a part-time ministry, but in 2004, after moving from Seattle, WA to north of Knoxville, TN, they stepped out in faith and began their full-time ministry in gospel music. In just a few short years, God has opened the door for them to minister to thousands in the United States and Canada.
