ABOUT BACKSTAGE PASS
The Backstage Pass series was launched in October 2018 to provide a different type of intimate performances to attract new audiences to the theater. One Thursday each month, this event features an up-and-coming band that plays on the Weill Center stage, with their backs to the auditorium. Why? Because the audience is “backstage!” Guests get an all-access pass to hang out backstage with the band, complete with bar access, appetizers for purchase, and seating – and room to dance! The “cover charge” is $5 CASH ONLY at the door. Space is limited to 140 people and guests must be 21+. Doors open at 6 p.m.
ABOUT SISTER WINCHESTER
Sister Winchester is a Wisconsin-based duo consisting of small town sisters, Jenna Lee and Shaun Marie, who have been laughing, singing, and creating together since childhood.
With the stars aligning, a window of opportunity was opened - the sisters formed their own group, with capabilities of having up to a five-piece band. The sisters perform songs that showcase their vocal harmonies that only siblings can share with influences of Southern rock and folk. They cover songs that hold weight throughout their experience of growing up together, as well as those that have helped shape their own originals.
Jenna, who has been playing piano since the age of 7 and earned her degree in Music Education, and has been teaching choir at the High School level for the past five years. She has established herself as a solo artist-doing the piano bar thing- and was also with Sheboygan-based band, Benson Klemme. In addition to Sister Winchester, she plays with Side Project and is seasonally spotlighted as vocalist in the Generations Jazz Band, both based in Sheboygan.
Shaun Marie began her musical journey as lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist in the blues-rock band, Consult the Briefcase. During this time, she was voted Wisconsin Area Music Industry's 2015 Female Vocalist of the Year. Stepping in to the acoustic world, Shaun Marie most recently played in the duo, FEATherWOLF, and toured throughout the U.S. and Central America. Her first solo EP, Leaving Home, was written during this time and can be found on iTunes and CD Baby.
Additional members include Dave Howell (drums/percussion/harmonies), Aaron Zepplin (lead guitarist) and Fred Velpel (bassist/harmonies), all of whom are very respected and experienced musicians around Central Wisconsin.
