Camp meets daily from 9am - 3pm Monday - Thursday and from 9am - 7:30pm on Friday. Public performance will take place on Friday, August 14 at 6pm.
About the Camp
This camp is for grades 1-12. Each day is a little different, but typically mornings are spent learning the scenes, songs, and dances that are part of the play. During this time, students work together with children of a variety of ages to collaborate on the production. Most afternoons, students participate in age-specific workshops in theatre topics like improv, stage combat, storytelling, dance, musical theatre, etc. The specific topics vary each year. On Friday, the students perform for their friends, family, and the public, complete with sets, costumes, props, and music, which have all been professionally designed and built for the students.
Students will be performing Peter Pan. When the curious Darling children befriend a mysterious boy from a distant planet called Neverland, they never dream that they'll soon be fighting alongside him, battling injustices and turning the delicate balance of this faraway world on its head.
Each student registered receives two tickets for the performance. Additional tickets are available at the door 30 minutes prior to the performance. Additional adult tickets are $8 and student tickets are $6.
